We have told you about Minsk universities where foreign citizens can enrol. But it isn’t only the capital of Belarus that welcomes foreign students. They are welcomed in Vitebsk, Gomel, Brest. These and other Belarusian cities have classical universities that give education to specialists in various fields. Some universities have similar specialities so you can enrol in the city that suits you best.
Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov
Vitebsk is the birthplace of the artist Marc Chagall who was truly in love with his city and dedicated paintings to it. Today Vitebsk is considered the city of artists. There you can find the oldest art school in Belarus founded in the late 19th century.
Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov also has specialties connected with art. But the university also educates specialists in other fields: biology, philology and mathematics. You can become a designer, environmental biologist, philologist, software engineer, teacher, etc.
Before enrolling at VSU you can attend summer cultural and educational programs. For 2 weeks foreign applicants study Russian as a foreign language or major subjects. This preparatory experience with the university helps to adapt easier to the new location after admission.
Francisk Skorina Gomel State University
Gomel isn’t a small regional city, but it’s a quiet one. The longest walking bridge in Belarus and even the palace of the Rumyantsevs and the Paskeviches are located here. There are a lot of public gardens that will hide you from the noise of the city. One of them - Student Garden - is situated near the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
You can choose among 11 faculties by applying to the university. Students with technical sciences inclination are welcomed at the Mathematics and Programming Technology, Physics and Information Technology faculties. People who are more into humanities can enter to history,philology, foreign languages, psychology and pedagogy faculties. The faculties of economics and law are popular with students.
Brest State A. S. Pushkin University
Brest is located between the Belovezhskaya Pushcha and the Brest Hero Fortress. This city has a complicated history, but it fascinates with its romance. There you can meet a real lamplighter man who lights lanterns on Sovetskaya street, a pedestrian one, in the evenings.

Polessky State University
The university is located in Pinsk, the capital of the Belarusian Polesie region. The town is small, but it is beautiful and cosy.
It is possible to enter the university at the faculties of engineering, biotechnology, economics and finance, healthy way of life organisation and continuous training.
You can apply documents til the 15th of October. Upon arrival in Belarus Bachelor’s degree applicants must submit documents to the admissions committee by the 1st of December. Admission to preparatory courses, Master's and postgraduate courses is carried out all year round.
Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University
Mogilev is a city on the Dnieper River which will greet you with ancient monuments, pines in forest parks and plenty of legends from the locals.
Popular fields of study at Mogilev University include economics and business administration, law, IT software and psychology. This year two new specialities have appeared: social communication and economic informatics.
The university participates in international projects and academic mobility programmes (TEMPUS, EMINENCE, ERASMUS+, etc.). The university has a Centre of German language and Culture and a Chinese Language and Culture Centre.
Polotsk State University
If you enroll at the Polotsk State University you won’t only study in the centre of Europe but also touch the history of the oldest city of Belarus. Some of the University buildings are located in the buildings of the Polotsk Collegium XVII-XIX which are included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus.
PSU is the only university in Belarus that offers specialities in "Design, construction and operation of gas and oil pipelines and gas and oil storage facilities" and "Chemical technology of natural energy carriers and carbon materials".

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno
Grodno is the city of temples, castles and museums. The centre which is called the old town has a historical atmosphere: there is a functioning pharmacy which is more than three hundred years old, Kolozha Church of the XII century, the Old Castle where Stefan Batory lived, a block stone pedestrian street. It will lead you to the main building of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Grodno State University ranks third in the international Webometrics rating among Belarusian universities. The university offers foreign citizens education at 13 faculties. The Faculty of Arts and Design, Innovative Mechanic Engineering, Mathematics and Informatics, Economics and Management, the Faculty of Law, Engineering and Construction and the Faculty of Pedagogy are among of them.
Summer schools of the Russian language, Belarusian language and culture, media communications, etc. operate in the university.
Baranavichy State University
Baranavichy is a young city, but one of the largest in Belarus in terms of population. It is major railway and highway junction and important industrial centre of the country. There are around 200 factories there.
Baranavichy State University gives education to specialists in pedagogy, economics, law, agriculture and engineering. There is a student business incubator, a centre of Turkish language and culture, Chinese language and culture studies centre.
