Getting an education in Belarus is a competent and long-term investment of funds that allows you to get an up-to-date and sought-after speciality. We have prepared a brief summary of the main items of expenditure for foreign citizens to better understand what budget may be required.
FREE AND PAID EDUCATION
The main expenditure item is the payment of the
tuition itself. It is made, as a rule, for 1 year in advance (2 semesters). The
Republic of Belarus has a shareware education system. It is important to know
that the competition for a few free vacancies in secondary specialized and
higher educational institutions is very high. In addition, the right to free
education (including the area of specialization) is available for foreign citizens
of certain countries - the list depends on the existing intergovernmental
agreements. More detailed information concerning this issue will be provided by
our managers.
Thus, the majority of offers in educational institutions for foreigners are on a paid basis. Each educational institution determines the tuition fee individually. You should be prepared for the fact that for citizens of the Republic of Belarus and foreign citizens, the amount of tuition is significantly different. This provision is enshrined in the local acts of the university and the local legislation.
WHAT IS THE TUITION FEE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
The amount varies depending on the level of education and the chosen educational institution. The lower tuition fee ranges are as follows:
- secondary vocational education - from 1500 USD per academic year (2 semesters);
- Bachelor‘s degree - from 2500 USD (1400 USD – by correspondence);
- Master's degree - from 2500 USD;
- postgraduate course- from 2500 USD.
Be prepared for the fact that IT, legal and medical specialities are traditionally more expensive but agricultural, pedagogical specialities are cheaper. Our managers will provide accurate information, as well as help you to choose the right option for your specific financial possibilities.
WHAT ELSE SHALL BE PAID FOR?
In addition to the paid tuition, the budget must include expenses for travel to Belarus and accommodation. Medical insurance, annual registration personal expenses, purchase of educational and additional literature will be required. The MyUniver team will arrange a meeting, a transfer will help you to choose a place to live (a dormitory or a rented flat) and to adapt to a new place. The cost of the service depends on the selected package.
