How Azerbaijani Citizens Can Study in Belarus: A Simple Guide

If you're from Azerbaijan and thinking about studying in Belarus, that's a great idea! You'll find quality education, affordable prices, a friendly atmosphere, and a ton of new opportunities here. Let's break down how it all works.

Why Belarus is awesome:

  • Excellent universities and strong foundational knowledge.
  • Degrees are recognized in various countries – useful for your future.
  • Education fees are lower than in Europe and many other countries.
  • Russian language – no language barrier.
  • Peaceful life, safe and comfortable.

Who can apply? In short: any citizen of Azerbaijan with a school certificate or diploma. You won't have to go through the same competitions, exams, and tests as local students. The main thing is to gather the necessary documents and properly prepare them.

How the process works:

1. Choose your university and specialization

Belarus offers many options: if you want to be a doctor, welcome; if you dream of a career in IT, no problem; economics, pedagogy, engineering – there are tons of choices. If you're unsure what to pick, we can help!

2. Gather your documents:

  • International passport
  •  Birth certificate
  •  Academic transcript with all grades (or diploma)
  •  Medical certificate
  •  HIV negative certificate
  •  Photos (standard, for documents)
  •  Notarized Russian translations of all documents

Once you've collected the complete package of documents and submitted it to the university, the admission document review process begins. This process is usually free, but some universities require a special fee for processing.

Important! Belarusian State University (BSU) requires a more extensive set of documents.

3.Pass an interview

After checking your documents, the university will schedule an interview to assess your Russian language proficiency. At BSU, Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), and Polotsk State University (PSU), there's a fee for the interview.

4.Arrive in Belarus!

Good news – Azerbaijani citizens do not need a visa. After all documents are processed, you can calmly arrive in Belarus and begin your studies.

5.Sign the agreement and pay for education

Upon arrival, you'll sign the study agreement and pay for the first academic year.
