Foreign applicants can enter ten universities and one college in Minsk. These are institutions of higher education where specialists of different fields get their education - from engineers, economists, software engineers to doctors and teachers. Belarusian National Technical University
BNTU provides with education in engineering. The university students become constuction workers, architects, designers, ecologists, software engineers, economists with knowledge of engineering, etc.
Admission for the preparatory department, Russian language courses, Master’s degree and postgraduate studies is carried out throughout the year.
Documents for admission to the first level of higher education should be submitted by the 15th of October.
The enrollment of applicants is after language proficiency interview. In case of applying to the Architecture faculty you have to take exams on drawing and composition.
Besides the university organises summer schools for foreign citizens. Future students can study Russian, learn more about Belarusian culture and industry, get acquainted with Minsk and get to know the university.
Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank
BSPU is chosen by applicants who want to become teachers, speech therapists, social teachers, psychologists. Even during your studies you can work with children: students of pedagogical universities have practical training in children's camps, kindergartens and schools. Education in university is carried out only in Russian.
For Bachelor’s degree you can apply till the 1st of January and till the 30th of October for the Master's degree. Documents for language courses and postgraduate studies can be submitted all year round.
Belarusian State Medical University
“General medicine”, “Dentistry” and “Pharmacy” are available to foreign students at BSMU. The university participates in international research programmes and collaborates with the World Health Organisation. The university sends students for practical activities to other countries through exchange programmes.
Applications for the preparatory department are accepted from June to December.
The application deadlines for the first level of higher education: for those who have studied at the preparatory department - from the 1st of 1 July to the 9th of August; for applicants whose admission is based on the results of an interview aimed at defining the level of the education language proficiency - till the 15th of October.
You will have to take biology and chemistry questions at the interview. These correspond to the matriculation program (the contents of the program is available on the website of the university). Based on the results of the interview the admission board decides on the admission.
Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics
The major education fields at BSUIR are cybersecurity, nanotechnology, gaming industry, business analysis, medical electronics, etc. Distance education is available for some programs.
Students can receive additional training at educational centres of global IT companies. BSUIR graduates have no problems with finding jobs not only in Belarus, but also abroad.
To apply for a Bachelor's degree after the preparatory department you can till the 9th of August. If you’re entering on the interview basis documents are accepted until the 15th of October. There are no deadlines for documents submission for the distance learning form of education.
Belarusian State Technological University
BSTU is the CIS basic organization for education in the field of forestry and forest industry. The university is opened for specialists in forestry, chemical and printing industries: these are not only technologists, chemists, engineers, but also economists, managers and softwarer engineers.
The university has a botanical garden and two educational forestry establishments where practical classes are held.
Documents for Bachelor's degree are accepted until the 9th of August after completion of the preparatory courses. If you’re entering on the interview basis documents are accepted until the 15th of October. There are no time limits if an applicant applies for distance learning.
Please, inform BSTU staff about date of your arrival in Minsk and a representative of the university will meet you at the airport.
Belarusian State Academy of Aviation
BSAA is opened for those who likes technology... and the sky. If you enter at the academy you will learn how to operate drones, prevent aircraft collisions and improve flight safety. You'll be able to put aircraft back into operation: you'll be able to control and repair aviation equipment.
Air cadets have practice at real aviation establishments: at the aircraft repair plant, at the National Airport "Minsk" and others.
Admission of documents for the first stage of higher education starts on the 20th of July. The applicants who have completed preparatory courses can apply till the 9th of August and till the 15 of October is admission according to the results of interview.
Minsk State Linguistic University
At MGLU 23 languages are taught and you have opportunity to learn several of them. Students become linguists, teachers, translators and specialists in intercultural communication. While mastering these professions you can choose from different language combinations and specializations (simultaneous interpreting, computer-based linguistics, communication technologies in business, etc.).
Foreign specialists with university degree can upgrade their teaching or interpreting qualifications at the Institute of Continuing Education and Retraining at MSLU.
International University MITSO
MITSO trains specialists in economics, management, law, logistics, advertising and information technology. Students are fully immersed in international educational environment: they undertake practical training and internships abroad, spend several semesters studying in foreign universities in terms of academic mobility and participate in prestigious international competitions.
Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University
Graduates of BSATU work in the agrarian-industrial sector. The university trains specialists in both technical and economic fields. Those who like to work with technical equipment can find such specialities as "Technical support of agricultural production processes" or "Automation of technological processes and producations". If you have capacity for management and organisation, you can choose “Management” or “Economy and organization of production in the agro-industrial sectors”. You can look at all specialities here.
To enter the full-time bachelor's degree program you can apply until the 15th of October. The documents for part-time form of education are accepted till the 1st of December. Admission for preparatory department, Master and postgraduate studies is carried out all year round.
Belarusian State Economic University
BSEU is the leading university in Belarus which gives education to specialists in economy. Lately the university has been training specialists not only in economics, but also in other related fields: logistics, marketing and intercultural communication.
Applications for full-time and part-time studies upon graduation from preparatory courses can be submitted until the 6th of August. If you enroll after results of the interview you can be admitted until the 15th of October.
Besides BSEU organizes summer and winter schools for foreign applicants. Usually they start in July and January-February. During 12 days applicants attend classes, learn Russian and get acquainted with the Belarusian culture. Foreign applicants live in the student dormitory.
Belarusian State Medical College
At the college you may get vocational education in medicine. Foreign students can enter for “General Medicine”, “Nursing”, “Pharmacy”, “Dentistry”.
The college's laboratories are equipped with breadboard models, medical instruments and equipment. Students can practise their knowledge.
For admission to the first year upon completion of the preparatory department you can apply till the 3rd of August. If you enroll after results of the interview you can apply until the 15th of October.
