Admission letter
Admission letter is a letter on university letterhead. It informs you that, based on the information provided, the university is willing to accept the applicant for studies, provided certain conditions are met.
Admission is an internal document of the university. Admission does not allow you to obtain a visa and travel to Belarus.
Invitation letter
Official document necessary for obtaining a visa and entering the Republic of Belarus. Issued by the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Republic of Belarus.
To receive the invitation, MYUNIVER prepares a package of documents and submits them to the university:
- Application form (to be completed by the applicant),
- A copy of the applicant's passport,
- Birth certificate of the applicant,
- Education document,
- Other internal documents (drawn up by MYUNIVER).
After verification, the university sends the complete set of documents to the territorial Citizenship and Migration Unit. As a usual, the Migration Office reviews the documents and decides on the issuance or refusal within 14 working days. Following the results, the Citizenship and Migration Office issues an invitation or notification of refusal to issue an invitation.
An invitation issued by the Citizenship and Migration Board is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
Important: The place of visa issuance is indicated on the invitation, which depends on the availability of the Belarusian embassy in the applicant's country of residence:
- If the applicant resides in a country where there is an official diplomatic/consular mission of the Republic of Belarus - the visa can only be obtained there.
- If the applicant has citizenship or resides in a country where there is no official diplomatic/consular representation of the Republic of Belarus - the visa can be obtained at the National Airport of Minsk. For this purpose, the place of permanent residence must be indicated in advance and a copy of the residence permit must be enclosed in the invitation package.
Stamp of the consular office of Minsk airport on the invitation
Approval of the letter of invitation by the consular office of the airport is a mandatory procedure for obtaining a visa at the airport. It is not possible to obtain a visa without a stamp of the Minsk City Airport Consular Office. MYUNIVER provides the consular service of the airport with the original invitation. After verification of the documents, a copy of the invitation is confirmed with a stamp.
Important! Foreign applicants who apply for higher education via MYUNIVER platform are obliged to agree the date of arrival in Minsk in advance. It is not allowed to buy tickets without a confirmed invitation from the consular office of the national airport in Minsk.
Study visa
Study visas can be applied for at the embassy or at the airport, depending on the details given on the invitation.
The student visa shall be processed by the candidate himself/herself if the visa is received at the Embassy of Belarus or in the presence of representatives of the university if the visa is processed at the Airport.
The documents required for a study visa depend on the requirements of the embassy.
Ok to board
Mandatory requirement of some airlines in case of an airport visa. Not an official document. Not legally valid for obtaining a visa.
For Ok to board, the university provides the airline with scanned copies of documents:
- Passport
- Invitation stamped by the consular office
- Air ticket ( round trip)
The result of the document check is permission to board the plane. This procedure is not compulsory for all airlines, e.g. Turkish Airlines require this procedure, while FlyDubai or Belavia do not.
Please check with the airline directly if Ok to board is required.
