So that you don't worry and understand what's going on, we decided to tell you where we "disappear" for a few days. And why life in our country stops for a short time in May.
May in Belarus is more than just spring
May holidays are a sacred time for Belarusians. It is not only a traditional weekend, but also important days when we remember our ancestors, honour labour and celebrate the Victory.
So, what happens in 2025:
April 25 (Tuesday) - Radonitsa
It is a day of remembrance of the deceased, celebrated on the ninth day after the Orthodox Easter. In 2025, Radonitsa falls on Tuesday, and this day is an official day off in Belarus. To ensure a three-day holiday, the workday from Monday, April 28, is moved to Saturday, April 26.

What's important to know:
Day off: April 29 (Tuesday).
Rescheduled workday: instead of April 28, we are working on April 26 (Saturday).
May 1 - Labour Holiday
The holiday of spring, labour and... the first kebabs in nature! Belarusians appreciate this day as an opportunity to take a breath after winter.

What's important to know:
Day off: May 1 (Thursday).
April 30: a workday, but a short one - an hour shorter than usual.
May 9 - Victory Day

One of the most significant holidays in Belarus, dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In 2025, it falls on a Friday, giving the country's residents three consecutive days off from May 9 to 11.
What's important to know:
Day off: May 9 (Friday).
And together with Saturday and Sunday, you get three days of rest in a row!
