The Belarusian State Academy of Aviation was founded on October 1, 1974, as a vocational educational institution. But since 2015 the academy started training students in Bachelor, Master and PhD programs.
There are two faculties in the academy:

- Faculty of Civil Aviation;
- Military Faculty.
There is an Institute for Advanced training and retraining functioning under the academy. There is also a possibility for the future international students to take up preparatory courses at the academy.
Students of the academy have their practical trainings at the aircraft repair plant, Minsk National Airport and other Belarusian enterprises of the aviation sector.
